The FRIGHTIES are back! Every year the voting has got bigger and bigger and we think 2025 will kick previous years out of the water. A fantastic year once again for horror, both from bigger studios and smaller independent productions. We've seen classic monsters return in Robert Eggers' 'Nosferatu', Leigh Whannell's 'Wolf Man' and more recently Guillermo Del Toro's 'Frankenstein'.
We've also seen the return of big name directors in the genre with Danny Boyle revisiting his "infected" roots and Scott Derrickson bringing The Grabber back from the dead, sort of. And once again horror shines a light on some amazingly exciting filmmakers with the Philippou Brothers sophmore outing, the terrifying possession-based horror film 'Bring Her Back' and Zach Cregger's weirdly wonderful 'Weapons'. Both are previous Frighties Nominees and Winners.
The Fright Club team are super excited to announce the nominations for the 4th Annual Frighties Awards, our recurring end-of-year award ceremony celebrating the best of the genre in various categories. Each film included must have been officially released in Ireland & the UK in 2025 (films screened at festivals do not count unless officially released) and we are including digital and streaming releases.
YOU CAN VOTE below right now in each category. Voting will end on Christmas Day and all votes will be tallied by the end of December. Winners will be announced on New Year's Day.

We appreciate your participation in the Frighties and going forward we want to hear from you so feel free to share this on your socials with all your horror pals.
[NOTE: This is all just meant to be a bit of fun. We realise we've had to omit some bangers but please don't get your knickers in a twist over any of the nominations. Cheers 😂😂😂]
